31st Surajkund International Crafts
and Handicrafts Fair

Artizana Syria won first place among all
participating countries at the 31st Surajkund International Crafts Fair in
Haryana, India, near the capital city, New Delhi.
The project’s concept and objectives impressed
the judging panel, aligning perfectly with the fair’s goal of promoting
traditional crafts while preserving the unique character and Syrian cultural
identity of artisans. This fair is considered one of the most important
international events in the field of handicrafts, providing a valuable
opportunity to explore the diverse crafts mastered by artisans from around the
world, while highlighting the profound influence of cultural and civilizational
elements on the development of these crafts.
The event featured approximately 437 artists
and artisans from over 20 countries, attracted around 1.5 million visitors, and
generated ticket revenue of nearly half a billion Indian rupees. Winners were
honored at the closing ceremony by the Governor of Haryana, Shri Kaptan Singh
Solanki, in the presence of Governor of Jharkhand, Draupadi Murmu, along with
several ministers, ambassadors, and diplomats.
